The American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance (AAMSI) announced that it achieved a targeted milestone for the organization’s website.

“I am pleased to report that for the first time over 100,000 individuals visited the Association’s website during 2022,” reports Jesse Slome, director of the organization. The number of visitors represents a 15 percent increase over the prior 12 months (January 1 – December 31).

Slome noted that 100 percent of the website traffic was generated organically with most accessing the website to use the Association’s Find A Local Medicare Insurance Agent online directory.

“Consumers are overwhelmed by the virtual constant bombardment of television advertising and online solicitations,” Slome notes. “They are looking for impartial local experts, first for information and guidance.”

AAMSI makes available the leading online national directory listing local Medicare insurance agents. “Our message in 2023 will continue to be that Medicare is national but plan options are local,” Slome states. “Our goal is to provide value to individuals and support the many professional Medicare agents who offer Medicare Advantage, Medigap and Medicare prescription drug plans.

The Association recently launched its Medicare Insurance Information Portal. “We will strive to make the Association’s website a leading resource for consumers seeking valuable information,” Slome adds.

2023 Message for Medicare Insurance Agents

The Association will continue to focus on the valuable benefit of seeking information from a local Medicare agent. “Medicare is a national program but coverage options are local,” Slome stresses. “Agents are facing enormous competition from those able to spend millions on television ads. How can local agents survive? Onl;y by stressing the advantages and importance of speaking to someone who really knows the local landscape.”

Medicare Insurance Information Website Generates Online Leads

The Association’s website continues to generate leads for listed agents. “Don’t just take my word for it,” Slome recommends. Read testimonials from listed Medicare agents. “Then consider adding your listing,” Slome adds. “This is marketing and not a guarantee of leads. But we like to say that one lead that converts into a sale covers the cost of your listing. And, as you’ll see, many of the listed agents get more than one lead.”
