Association’s Medicare Supplement Insurance Agent Directory Celebrates First Anniversary

March 1, 2018 – Los Angeles, CA – The online directory of local insurance agents who specialize in Medicare insurance planning celebrates its first anniversary today.
“Nearly 1,000 Medicare Supplement insurance agents have added their listing and we continually receive acknowledgements from both consumers and agents who find the resource of value,” shares Jesse Slome, director of the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance (AAMSI). The organization launched the online directory based on feedback from their consumer research.
The Medicare insurance marketplace has become incredibly competitive and a significant percentage of consumers expressed confusion comparing the myriad of options. “They wanted to connect with one person who could explain their options and help them arrive at a decision,” Slome shared. “It made sense for us to create an online directory that connected consumers with insurance professionals.”
The Association’s directory is the only national third-party resource where consumers can exclusively find local Medicare insurance agents. “Several prominent consumer media, including Kiplinger’s Retirement Report, have featured the directory as the go-to resource to find Medicare agents,” Slome added. “We know that several hundred consumers used the resource to connect with agents during this past year’s Medicare Open Enrollment.
